Born in Kuwait to Egyptian parents, I spent all my summer holidays in Egypt & fell in love with its history, culture, music, food & everything.
Finishing secondary school, I moved to Cairo where I studied at the faculty of Mass Communication of Cairo University.
After obtaining my bachelors degree, I worked for more than 17 years as a freelance tour guide all over Egypt. Meanwhile I also provided special courses about Egyptian culture & language for foreigners moving to Egypt to work or study.
Since 2006 I'm living in the Netherlands, where I started to give classes, workshops & lectures about language, culture and history of Egypt.
